Siri Hack Now Allows It To Control Home TV

The rumor mills have been in over drive regarding the Siri controlled Apple TV release. However, before Apple could do it, Todd Treece an  iPhone hacker has been able to demonstrate just that – i.e. a TV set that is being controlled by Siri. Todd has managed to get Siri to control his TV using an Arduino IR remote setup and SiriProxy.

We’ve already seen examples of the use of Siri Proxy to start a car and control your home thermostat. However, this new hack clearly shows how Siri could be used as a remote control for the home TV.

The masses would have to wait for Apple to finally get its act together and come up with something like this. But for the hackers out there, they demonstration and technical know-how is already out there to set up a Siri controlled home TV.
